Music Video: A-1: “Now You Know”

When Flosstradamus flipped Lana De Ray’s slow and brooding period pop song “Video Games” into a revved up dance track entitled “Lana’s Theme”, it caught some off guard. San Francisco emcee A-1 seized upon the bi-polar track to spit double-time gas, while also setting a certain reflective tone on the newly minted “Now You Know”. When we reviewed his Book of Adam mixtape last year, we noted that his delivery was often so relaxed that it sounded poetic. On “Now You Know” he traded in that conversational flow for rapid fire punchlines, while still communicating the intelligence and purpose behind those bars. A-1 is worth watching.

And if ya don’t know… “Now You Know”
