You ever hear the phrase, “Shut up when grown folks is talkin”? Well that’s exactly what we did when Zsa Zsa from Fusicology sent us this video of legendary Bay Area journalist Davey D interviewing long time hip-hop head Paul Stewart. Stewart has been a DJ, label rep, publisher, and everything in between in his 20+ years in the game.

Most recently he published Michael Miller’s dynamic photography book, West Coast Hip-Hop: A History in Pictures. Miller was the go-to photographer as West Coast hip-hop was blowing up in the 80s and 90s, and it was his artistic eye that created some of the most legendary photos of the era. His renowned album covers, unseen flicks and amazing stories feature the likes of 2Pac, Snoop, $hort, Ice Cube and 46 other influential left coast artists. I just got a new pad, so I had to order this 9 x 12 hardcover joint for my coffee table (Now I just need to buy a coffee table). This book is limited edition, so get it now!

Check out Michael Miller discussing his career with Baller Status and Davey D and Paul Stewart chopping it up about the old school and Miller’s book below. History and wisdom ain’t cheap, but it’s free. Listen up.
