This song was just a run of the mill stripper/pimp anthem until E-40, Busta Rhymes and co. took the form of muppets for the video. A muppet pimp anthem is like a nun twerk video, so wrong, but so amazing. In Funny Or Die’s new video, Busta Rhymes, E-40, Nick Cannon, JB Smoov and The Dummiez morph into thugged out muppets and kick it at a spa, strip club, and roof top party, bathing in bad “bitches.” Unfortunately it utilizes rap’s favorite crutch, misogyny, but E-40 getting a pedicure with gold ones and curlers in his hair takes the trope to the point of parody.
We here at 38th Notes often engage in a tug-of-war between our principles and sense of humor; our socio-political educations and our Todd Shawian propensity for randomly blurting out “BIATCH!” in the club. There’s no respectful way to say, “My bitches got bitches,” but if you can relax and enjoy some well-executed quasi-human comedy, partake.
