New Music: “Definition of a Star” by DJ D-Sharp feat. Kev Choice & Tony Vic

By Coolhand Luke  |  March 8th, 2010  |  Published in Music

When word hit about DJ D-Sharp releasing his first single, many figured he produced a song featuring emcees, sort of like those songs by Quincy Jones where you never actually hear him. Maybe “Definition of a Star,” was one of those DJ D-Sharp presents type tracks. But hit play and you  realize that one of your favorite DJs is on a mission to become one of your favorite MCs.
On “Definition of a Star,”  Sharp flexes his production muscles giving a laid back sound that would induce a mean two-step in the club. Add his chill flow and you have a track that instantly screams West Coast (think Dre). Plus the chemistry of having Kev Choice and Tony Vic make for a song that deserves heavy rotation.
It makes sense that someone who specializing in giving crowds what they want would make a track that the people can rock to, and without further ado we present to you “Definition of Star.”
