iLL-Literacy Opening for Blu & U-N-I in SF

By Coolhand Luke  |  December 9th, 2008  |  Published in Uncategorized

Oakland-based spoken word collective iLL-Lit will be opening for the leaders of the LA new school, Blu and U-N-I, tonight at the Independent in SF. Blu is a fresh off-beat emcee who has already explored different sounds and directions at this early stage in his career, all to much acclaim. U-N-I could be categorized in the vicinity of hipster rap, though I hate drawing these lines of demarcation. All you need to know is that their dope. The show will be part of Imeem’s Key to the City serious in which Raphael Saadiq was featured in the post below. Oh yeah, again, iLL-Lit wil be in the house! Support The Town mayne!
