Erk Tha Jerk Is In The Kitchen, Ladies and Gentlemen

ErkAs children, very few of us wanted to eat our vegetables. I would try to convince my mom “my vegetable shelf (of my stomach) is full, but my dessert shelf is empty.” That never worked, but many of us still do our best to rationalize late night tacos at the expense of the more responsible 6pm veggie stir-fry. Thankfully Erk has tended to both our sweet tooth and well-being on the Fly Commons-produced Junk Food & Vegetables.

What is healthy in the context of an Erk Tha Jerk project?  Honesty, introspection, and vulnerability to go along with wordplay, humor, chauvinistic exploits, and an enduring sense of cool. To quote Mary Poppins, it takes a “spoonfull of sugar to make the medicine go down.”

The dark probing sonics of Junk Food & Vegetables (<- Buy here) are handled 100% by Fly Commons and form the perfect backdrop for Erk’s raspy explorations of lust, technology, and life.  Be sure to seek out my current favorites – “Nobody’s Watching” and “High Definition”– and watch the video for “White Widow” below.
