Music Video: Steve Shankle: “Boss”

By Rayana  |  July 13th, 2012  |  Published in Music

Coming out of Oakland is a young rapper that everyone should definitely be on the look out for. Steve Shankle, one of the many members of a music group known as CaliMade, has released the visuals for his new song Boss. ”Boss” just happens to be the perfect equation. Shankle took Kid Cudi’s “Glory” instrumental, added lyrical finesse along with a simple yet statement making video, and ended up with d0pe results. The video, directed by Shawn Prince, is Shankle’s first release since his debut mixtape DayDreaming, which was dropped under the alias Springz, the Grinch. Though his buzz is fairly small now, Steve Shankle has what it takes to be one of the Bay’s leading lyricists. What can we say, the man has boss potential.
