Mixtape Monday: Trackademicks: The [Re]Mixtape Vol. 3

By Coolhand Luke  |  April 13th, 2010  |  Published in Music

The Honor Roll’s head honcho Trackademicks has released his third and final installment of his [Re]Mixtape series, which expertly reworks a variety of indie selections from the likes of Zero 7, Wale, Jazmine Sullivan, Zion I, Little Dragon, Janelle Monae and others.
This tape has been in steady rotation for the past week and continues to wow me because of Tracks’s rare ability to simultaneously produce something both diverse and cohesive. Add his impeccable taste in music, some original verses and Honor Roll cameos, and you got a surefire serving of synthy funk.
Enjoi the tape and then come out to DJ Sake-1’s weekly PST party at Eve Lounge in SF on Thursday to celebrate the release of The [Re]Mixtape. It promises to be a fun night out!
